Launched alongside the Sanctuary Community Server (SCS) in August 2019, the W.A.T.C.H. — Wearable Apparatus for Text Communication and Help — has been the essential tool bridging in-game survival with community interaction. Born from necessity and crafted through creativity, the W.A.T.C.H. evolved because DayZ on Xbox doesn’t yet offer the deep modding capabilities PC survivors enjoy. Instead, we pushed the limits of what's possible, embracing a critical RP concept known as Suspension of Disbelief. Willingly stepping deeper into the world we've built, even if it bends the edges of reality.
In the world of Sanctuary, the W.A.T.C.H. is a rugged, minimalistic wrist device, more beeper than smartphone. Controlled and tied to a still operating AI core, its now connecting survivors to the vital systems that keep them alive:
Text Communication
with other survivors, even across great distances.
Management of the RS (Resource Control)
Claim territory, trade goods, or establish your faction's stronghold.
Access to the Black Market — where anything has a price, and everything has a risk.
Currency Control — your in-game credits are secured and monitored via the W.A.T.C.H., the lifeblood of trading and survival.
